These are the Top Destinations to Visit in June

Most people living in the Northern Hemisphere will agree that June is summer. This is the best time to take a vacation, whether you’re planning a road trip or hopping on a plane.

June is a great month to explore, whether you want long lazy days on the beach, or an adrenaline pumping adventure. It’s also a very popular month for travel, especially to Europe. You’ll need to plan ahead and budget well before you go.

Are you ready to plan your next trip? These are the top places to visit in June.

Cusco, Peru

Cusco is my favorite city in South America. I spent two days exploring Cusco, before I set out to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

It’s the start of the dry season in Peru and June is the best month to visit. It won’t rain on outdoor activities and Machu Picchu will be dry.

A few festivals are also held in this month. Quyllur Rit’i is a festival that takes place from June 17th to the 19th. It’s where thousands of Andeans make pilgrimages to nearby glaciers.

Inti Raymi, the second-largest festival in South America, is held in Cusco on June 24th. It is also known as the Festival of the Sun, and honors the winter solstice.

Although London’s weather is unpredictable, June has been known to be one of the best months for sunshine and warm weather. Enjoy your vacation in Hyde Park or the Kensington Gardens and be there for Queen’s Birthday on the 9th June.

The Taste of London is a must-see for foodies. You’ll find some of the best meals ever prepared by chefs from around the globe!

Download Festival is a must-attend event for music festival lovers like me! It is one of Europe’s largest alternative music festivals and hosts some of top metal and rock bands.

Although Bali is magical all year, I believe June is the best month to visit if your goal is warm and sunny weather. You can expect temperatures of around 80 degrees Fahrenheit daily in June, as it is dry season.

Bali is open to tourists throughout the year. However, the peak season is usually July-September. June is the best time to visit Bali before the crowds arrive.

Spend some time on the stunning beaches of Ulutawti and Canggu, as well as in the magical Ubud and northern parts of the island.

Royal Malewane, Kruger National Park

South Africa

South Africa’s winter is a great time to visit the country. You’ll find great deals on hotels and safari packages as well as cheap domestic flights, since most tourists are chasing the sun in Europe.

June is a great month to go on safari in South Africa if you want to see the Big 5. This is the dry season and animals congregate around water holes making it easier for you to spot more difficult creatures such as leopards and lions.

June is whale season in Hermanus just outside Cape Town. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world to see whales!

It’s impossible to not want to see mountain gorillas in their lives. Uganda is a great place to visit!

The weather in June is cool and dry, which makes it more likely that the gorillas will be out and about. They can be found in Lake Nakuru and Queen Elizabeth National Park or Bwindi Impenetrable forest, which are the best places to view them.

Montreal, Canada

Montreal offers a unique blend of the old-world charm and modern North American culture. Book a flight to Canada in June if you don’t feel like traveling too far.

You can stroll around the Old Port or the Montreal Botanical Gardens, and then visit some of the shops and markets in Old Montreal. You must eat poutine while you are there!

The Montreal Grand Prix Formula Race is held at the beginning of each month. There are many other festivals that take place throughout the summer months, even if you’re not a fan of sports.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful national parks the United States. The park is a paradise for nature lovers, with its tall redwood trees and majestic granite cliffs.

Although the snow is melting enough to clear Tioga Pass in June, the heat hasn’t dried the falls yet. Let’s not forget June bloom! Wildflowers can be found for miles!

Because of the beautiful weather, June is one the most popular months to visit California’s National Parks. You should plan to arrive early in the morning to see the best sights before the crowds.

South of France

The south of France is the perfect place to go if you are looking for glamorous vacations. French Riviera is known for its glamorous beaches and celebrities who enjoy luxury vacations. It’s all about fresh seafood, roses for me!

June is quieter than other summer months in terms of tourist crowds. Visit Saint-Tropez and Monaco’s resorts and beaches, as well as Nice.

Languedoc is a less well-known region that offers more fun and relaxation than the usual party scene. You can enjoy your afternoons in the vineyards surrounding the picturesque village and sandy beaches.

Amalfi Coast

June is the best month to travel if you prefer to be away from the crowds. Although accommodation costs will rise, it is worth spending a few extra dollars to enjoy the tranquility of the villages of Positano and Sorrento.

Similar to Italy, Mykonos sees an increase in tourist numbers starting in June. You’ll still be able to enjoy the sun and the beautiful beaches, but you will have less chaos if your visit is earlier in the month.

The nightclubs that are part of the season are now open, making it a great destination for those who want to dance until the early hours of the morning.
